Welcome to the 2nd International Conference of the Spanish Metabolomics Society
Dear colleague,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my pleasure to inform you that the 2nd International Conference of the Spanish Metabolomics Society, (SESMet 2024), will be held in Seville (CEU Fernando III University) from June 3rd Monday to June 5th Wednesday.
This year marks a special milestone for us as we celebrate the 15th anniversary of CEMBIO (Centre of Metabolomics and Bioanalysis) at CEU San Pablo University. To commemorate this occasion, CEMBIO is proudly organizing SESMet 2024 at our newly inaugurated fourth CEU university, the Fernando III in Seville.
The conference will cover the most appealing and relevant topics of research in Metabolomics with special focus on Health and Disease, Plant, Food, and Environmental Metabolomics, as well as Microbial Metabolomics. We will delve into Technological Advances including single-cell metabolomics, new matrices, fluxomics, lipidomics, volatolomics, ion mobility, and significant progress in Bioinformatics and Databases. These sessions will explore advances in metabolite identification, multiomics / data integration, databases, metabolic networks, and standardization, among other areas.
The symposium will include a special session and social activities for YOUNG RESEARCHERS. Moreover, our sponsors, pioneers in cutting-edge technology, will award also the best oral communication and poster among them.
The Meeting website www.congreso2024sevilla.sesmet.org, is on line and it will be updated shortly with the preliminary Scientific Program, deadlines for abstract submission are already there as well as general information concerning the Meeting and its venue.
Additionally, you will find many opportunities for networking and socializing with our colleagues in the interesting social program that includes among others, a welcome reception, and a gala dinner for all the attendees.
Seville, a city steeped in history and culture, offers a splendid backdrop for the celebration of our congress. The city’s vibrant atmosphere, characterized by lively streets, and the enchanting Guadalquivir River, creates an inspiring setting for intellectual exchange and collaboration.
